What TypeMagic Does
- Reads clipboard text you explicitly copy so it can improve it.
- Sends that text to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, etc.).
- Writes the improved version back to your clipboard and nowhere else.
What TypeMagic Does NOT Do
- No accounts or logins.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry.
- No cloud storage or syncing of your text, prompts, or API keys.
- No hidden data sharing with third parties.
API Keys & Providers
Your API keys stay in the macOS Keychain / Chrome storage on your machine. TypeMagic uses them only to call the provider you selected. Review each provider's own privacy policy to understand their retention practices.
Local Models
If you connect to a local Ollama model, your text never leaves your computer. This is the most private option and is fully supported.
